FUNDAMENTALS (Foundation)

CrossFit Fundamentals is mandatory for those new to CrossFit training before entering Workout of the Day Classes. This 6-session course will introduce new athletes to the fundamental elements of CrossFit. This course includes coaching, nutrition for fitness, functional movements, and will prepare anyone for regular CrossFit WOD Classes. Click here to see the current Fundamentals Schedule.

Prerequisites: CFH Membership

CROSSFIT LITE (Level 1)

Crossfit Lite classes are a high energy 45-minute class that blends a fast-paced cardio workout with high interval weight training. Similar to boot camp, this class is perfect for the athlete looking for a non-stop action-packed jolt of exercise, without the heavy weightlifting. This class is ideally used to subsidize your conditioning during fundamentals or as lightweight mix up to include with your Workout Of the Day schedule. Click here to see when they are available.

Prerequisites: CFH Membership

WORKOUT OF THE DAY (Level 2)

The Workout of the Day is the bread and butter of Crossfit. Our objective is to make the athletes in this class physically prepared for any task thrown at them. We will lift weights, run, jump, and push and pull our own bodies long and fast. Our objective of the program is to mix up the exercise combinations so that your body is constantly adapting and improving. Regular attendance should increase athletes work capacity aka fitness across broad time and modal domains. Click here to see when they are available.

Prerequisites: CFH Membership, CFH Fundamentals Completion, and/or CFH Fundamentals Test Out

SPECIALTY CLASSES

Specialty classes are skill-based classes that are designed to help you work on your olympic lifting skills and development more foundational strength. Click here to see when they are available.

OLYMPIC LIFTING
Whether it is olympic lifting technique in the snatches, cleans or jerks, you will improve by having dedicated time to practice these skills with sufficient volume and repetition to improve. Use this class to supplement your other training or just get better at Olympic lifting. Instruction is lead by World Class Trainer, Ryan Erasmus, who is also active with the CrossFit Hoboken Olympic lifting team in regional competitions.

STRENGTH
Strength Class is designed to focus on building the foundational strength that will take you to the next level. While many of our CrossFit classes incorporate strength training and cycles, this class is designed to help you quickly see gains in your strength expressed through essential lifts (e.g. deadlifts, squats, and presses). We highly recommend this for newer athletes to supplement workout of the day classes to quickly figure out 1 rep maxes and develop strength.

CROSSFIT KIDS

CrossFit Kids program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Healthy living requires that our kids push, pull, run, throw, climb, lift, jump, effectively and safely regardless of whether or not they play athletics. Athletics is a specialized pursuit. Our goal is to support the specialist, but reward the generalist. The CrossFit Kids program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for 4 year olds and elite high school athletes. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of our second graders and our high school wrestler differ by degree not kind.
