How long have you maintained your weight loss?:

1 year. It’s much easier to keep it off when your focusing on improving your workout times vs counting calories.

Exercise Routine:

Crossfit Hoboken 4 days a week. Recover 3 days a week.

What made you decide to try CrossFit?

Well, you know, I was tired of trying the same routines of fitness. Cardio/Low fat low calorie diets. I always felt tired and hungry. It was very discouraging. I was doing some research and found CrossFit Hoboken. 18 months later I’m a new man and in control of my weight and health.

What was your diet plan at CFH? Started Zone 1 month after arriving because the intial goal was to lean out. Stayed on it for 6 months maybe a little more. After 6 months I converted to a more Paleolithic approach (The CFH recommented diet) using some Zone principles. Once you’ve done Zone for a few months you always have an idea of how much you should be eating.

What was your biggest challenge at CFH?

Adapting to the intensity. Have never worked out with this type of intensity before. Just trying to force maximal effort for 10 minutes took a lot of getting used to.

How has CrossFit Changed your life?

My life is better in every aspect. I’m happier, healthier, more confident. I feel in control and it is very satisfying.
